I noticed a huge price increase overnight - from $3.89 to $4.29 in most stores.

That's what it is around here; about $4.29.  I don't drive a whole lot anyways but I do feel for those who have a commute to get to work...and tolls on top of it.

I'll stop tomorrow and fill up, hopefully prices won't creep up that much overnight.

$4.29 here....but this is Il and there are so many taxes on it it's impossible to know how much the gas actually is..

I do anticipate that gas will go back down once the dust settles from Iran.

Yeah, it's only a spike that will drop back down as soon as the last bomb is dropped.  Ultimately, I think the U.S. economy will be much stronger in the future if Trump finally finishes off the Iranians, who have disrupted the petroleum production and transportation industries for decades, and created instability elsewhere in the world with IRGC-backed terrorist attacks.  Once that ends, then I think that much of the world's economic problems will end.
