A shocking video shows lawlessness in the streets of Los Angeles as a group of more than 100 young people took over an intersection and caused chaos with only a scant police response. 

Troublemakers blocked the street corner at Alondra Boulevard and Figueroa Street, where drivers did donuts at high rates of speed with onlookers standing dangerously close by. At one point, a black sedan could be seen swerving into the crowd, while viewers of the spectacle scrambled to jump out of the way. One person was hit by the car, but walked away from the scene.

The incident occurred on March 22.

At the same time, a Metro Rapid bus occupied by a driver and passengers was trapped by crowd, which disallowed it from moving.

A little thing like this wouldn't cause 300,000 people to leave LA since 2020, would it?

Unless these 'teens' are held accountable and punished -- they will continue and it will also send a message to other teens that they can do whatever they want as there aren't any repercussions.

If they are too young to be tried then the parents need to be held responsible.  Hefty fines at least and made to pay for damages.

The article says 'scant police response'.  So IMO it's going to continue and other cities will likely see something similar. 

This country is an absolute mess.  Very sad.  We are set to celebrate 250 years -- the lack of patriotism in our country is disheartening.

You are probably correct.  Unfortunately, these teens probably don't have any kind of positive role model. Playing violent video games and being bombarded by negative news over the airwaves doesn't help.

Don't issue traffic citations, seize their damn vehicles. Hit them in the pocketbook.
