NYC Council Contact
« on: March 28, 2026, 04:55:09 pm »
New York City Mayor Mamdani is a lost cause but many of the City Council members are not. I urge you to contact the members of the Council to let them know just how wrong Mayor Mamdani is in trying impose socialism on the city just as I have. The e-mail addresses of the 51 members are  District1@council.nyc.gov to District51@council.nyc.gov. You can find out more about the members at https://council.nyc.gov/districts/.

Contacting the members of the New York State Assembly can be helpful as well. You can find their contact information at https://assembly.state.ny.us/mem/.

The City government is billions of dollars in debt and the tax base has already been significantly eroded yet Mamdani wants to increase both spending and taxes to record levels.

Anyone who believes that members of the middle and lower classes will not be harmed if taxes are increased only on corporations and the wealthy is sorely mistaken. You simply can't increase taxes on the wealthy and not expect their spending, investment and donations to charity to go down and thus unemployment to go up and you can't increase taxes on businesses without expecting them to pass on those increased costs to consumers.

New York State Governor Hochul recently stated that she wants wealthy people who left the state because of increased taxation to come back but gave them no reason whatsoever to do so.

Moody's, Fitch Ratings and the Kroll Bond Rating Agency have lowered their New York City government bond ratings. The government gave the three every reason to do so.

Welcome to TBR, @tim.mcdonald!  Will they listen to people out here in flyover territory?  Do we need to say we live in their districts?  Briefers are generally pretty polite bunch!
I don’t owe tolerance to people who disagree with my existence.
I will NOT comply.

Personally,I believe it's a little too late to do anything about the mayor and likely the city council is made up of some Muslims.  So NYC is a gonner.  This scenario is beginning to spread throughout our country.  It is a serious, serious issue and liberal judges don't help the situation.

BTW welcome to The Briefing Room @tim.mcdonald  :patriot:
Live in  harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

I've seen statements issued by a number of members of the Council opposing Mamdani's proposals and expressing concerns about the erosion of the tax base. Those statements have convinced me that there is hope. I do however think that encouragement is needed and that is why I am calling on people to contact the Council members.

I am in Dallas and have received positive responses from some of the NYC Council members I have contacted so I urge you and all others to contact the members yourselves.

Welcome to TBR.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-
