Britain has been forced to borrow a warship from Germany to fulfil its Nato obligations after Sir Keir Starmer sent HMS Dragon to the eastern Mediterranean.

Critics have accused the Government of creating a “national embarrassment” after it emerged that German frigate Sachsen will replace the Dragon, one of the UK’s six Type 45 destroyers, as the flagship of a Nato mission in the North Atlantic.

The revelation has prompted accusations that Berlin has “bailed out” London.

Ben Obese-Jecty, the Tory MP, claimed: “The Royal Navy has officially run out of ships. The Government’s inability to manage the Royal Navy surface fleet has become a national embarrassment, with Germany now bailing us out.”

Tan Dhesi, the Labour chairman of Parliament’s defence committee, said that relying on a German ship “underscores the defence committee’s concerns regarding the UK’s lack of mass and capabilities”.

It's even worse...the UK Defence Minister doesn't know how many ships the Royal Navy actually has, nor how many of those can actually go to sea.

If Britain is relying on the US to bail them again, they may be SOL.  I don't believe Trump is exactly thrilled with them just now. **nononono*

I think that Trump is going to dump NATO once the dust settles in Iran.  The dumb Europeans just can't help but keep making his point for him.  Rubio was very clear in his warning yesterday but they're being willfully blind yet again.

Pres. Trump should tell Starmer we would have left a Carrier for them on the way home...if only they had offered to step forward from the jump.
