Vice President JD Vance reportedly had a tense phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing him of overselling the ease of regime change in Iran to President Trump.
According to sources who spoke with Axios, Vance told Netanyahu that many of the optimistic predictions Bibi had pushed before the war simply hadn’t come true. Despite the high-profile killing of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, hardline factions have actually tightened their grip on power, and the Iranian regime remains firmly in control


They were really banking on the Iranian people to rise up and overthrow the government, but they didn’t know the actual number of protesters the Iranian killed. They believed the number to be around 5k when the number was more like 30k. No on left to rise up

It's not Netanyahu's fault that Trump fell for it.

America was 0-2 in the MidEast regime change business, before Iran.

Any claim of easy-peasy regime change should have been met with much skepticism.

Cutting off the head of the snake in Iran won't work because Iran is an Islamic Revolutionary starfish.  Any pieces that are cut-off will re-grow if the entire starfish is not killed.

This is why Congress has War Powers, and not the President.  But, DC, uses the US Constitution as a cocktail napkin.
