The 2024 presidential race had its share of bathroom humor, as Minnesota Gov. and Democrat vice presidential nominee Tim Walz was nicknamed "Tampon Tim" for his promotion of feminine hygiene products in boys' restrooms.

Now another state, Maryland, is considering whether or not tampons should be required in both men's and women's bathrooms in public buildings.

"There is some conversation about transgender women using men's bathrooms," Republican state Delegate Kathy Szeliga told WBAL-TV in Baltimore.

"So, I've dubbed this bill, 'Tampons for Timmy,' because it explains what this bill does. This bill puts tampons in men's bathrooms across the state in Maryland – including the Ravens' stadium, Oriole Park, men's prisons. I just think it's very, very expensive – and most importantly, totally unnecessary."
