Sexual predators can get off the hook if they are progressive enough — just look at Cesar Chavez

Quote
The bigger they are, the longer it takes them to fall.

That’s the lesson of Cesar Chavez.

A New York Times investigation revealed that the famed Mexican-American leader of the United Farm Workers labor union “groomed and sexually abused girls” as young as 12, “used many of the women who worked and volunteered in his movement for his own sexual gratification,” and sexually assaulted Dolores Huerta, his closest female ally in the movement. ...

But the Chavez personality cult was too useful for too long to look too closely at a serial sex criminal.

Clinton would understand: No story of his predatory sexual behavior was too lurid to deter defenses of him until after both he and his wife were out of office and out of presidential campaigns.

Instead, former Time White House reporter Nina Burleigh quipped she would gladly give him the full Lewinsky treatment “to thank him for keeping abortion legal.”

Ted Kennedy, who actually killed a woman, was feted as a hero until the day he died. ...

But the left’s emotional style of hero-invention means looking the other way — while abusers are making hay, and until their usefulness has waned — in the service of the greater good of the narrative and “the movement.”

Liberals give themselves a pass on rape, sexual harassment, and homicide.  It's been that way since, at least, the Kennedy's in the early 1960s.
"Political correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it’s entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end." - Alan Simpson, Frontline Video Interview

The allegations against Chavez are hideous. Funny how it took so many decades - long after his death - to hear about them.

Now that Cesar Chavez is credibly accused of sexual abuse of numerous women, including 12 and 13-year-old girls, I presume we are going to be releasing any and all government files pertaining to him, scrutinize his relationships with other labor leaders and the Democratic Party,  publish his private correspondence, and consider as tainted or (possibly even complicit) anyone who met with him or traveled with him, particularly in the presence of young girls. That's how this goes, right?

MLK  wasn't a saint either.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.  Note:  Posts may also be allegorical in nature, and not literal.

The Child Rapes of Cesar Chavez

The Left kept silent about the labor leader’s crimes against girls.

March 20, 2026 by Daniel Greenfield

Cesar Chavez’s birthday is a holiday in six states, there are over a dozen streets that carry his name in California alone, and far more schools across the country are named after a child rapist.

And now some of those streets may be renamed and Chavez statues may be coming down.

Marches are being canceled, events are being sidelined and the organizations associated with Chavez are facing a reckoning over the stories of his abuses: especially against children.

Cesar Chavez is certainly not the first civil rights leader to also double as a rapist. We’ve known for seven years now that Martin Luther King not only had numerous ‘affairs’, willing or unwilling, but was caught on tape cheering on a rape by one of his friends. More information will be coming out next year when the FBI’s whole library of MLK material will be finally released.

Harvey Milk had lured underage boys to run away, come live with him and sexually service him. Malcolm X had come out of the Nation of Islam and denounced Elijah Muhammad’s harem of teenage secretaries whom he opportunistically raped and impregnated. That eventually led to his murder. The recently deceased Jesse Jackson had been accused of sexual harassment.

But the allegations against Chavez, often held up as MLK’s Latino counterpart, are far worse.

I didn't learn this until fairly recently, but Chavez Stadium where the Dodgers play Baseball was not named after Cesar Chavez, the farm union leader of this Topic, but somebody else.

Yes, and it's not named after the Pedo farm workers union boss.
