:silly:  I'd love to see the debate.  Tucker I think has developed a loose screw or two.

Tucker Carlson Quips to Piers Morgan He Might Just Have to Run For President — To Debate Ted Cruz

Tucker Carlson joined Piers Morgan on Friday to discuss the latest round of infighting on the right over President Donald Trump’s war in Iran and support for Israel.

Carlson took aim during the conversation at two of his favorite foils in recent years, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Ben Shapiro, who have accused Carlson of promoting anti-Semitism and anti-American rhetoric in the service of foreign adversaries like Qatar.

“As for Ted Cruz, he says he’s running against me for president. I almost want to run for president just to debate Ted Cruz, because I think it would go about the way it went last time, and for my part, I deeply enjoyed it, which is why I’ve never tweeted about it, because I just keep that little spark of joy inside me for rainy days. And I think about that conversation and smile,” Carlson told Morgan during the program.

Morgan pressed Carlson on whether he’d actually ever run. Carlson replied, “I don’t know that I’d be good at it… I think it’s very tough to be the president.”

“I’ve learned that by watching over many years, and because you are constrained in ways that you should not be constrained, but you are… However, if I got to run against Ted Cruz and debate him again on camera, I would run for Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, I’d run for Pope. I’d run for head of the library board. I would run for anything for the opportunity to do that,” concluded the highly controversial podcaster.

Please let this happen.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

Ted would eat him alive.  I think he was blindsided during that interview with Carlson a few weeks ago, thinking that he was dealing with the same bow-tie dude that he did back during the TEA Party years.  Kevin Roberts made the same mistake.  It'll never happen again now that its is obvious that Carlson has probably gone insane.

Word for word, Ted Cruz is the best political debater of our lifetime. From a tale of the tape, he beat Trump in '16 on those narrow terms. Of course, a good debate does not ensure electoral success.

Carlson knows that, and is just trying to save face.

I think he (Cruz) is at a dead end politically, but why I have be advocating for him to be appointed to SCOTUS.  Just in his ability to influence the squishy political middle of the court will be invaluable.

Cruz is definitely one of the best debaters of our lifetime, without a doubt.  Carlson knows it and his career would quickly head southward if he actually debated him.

As for Cruz's political career; I don't think he'll try for the presidency again, which is unfortunate. There's no way he'd win against either Vance or Rubio; but they'll need a good VP like Cruz.  He'll likely stay in the Senate till he decides to retire or loses his seat.  Years ago he commented that he didn't want a seat on the SCOTUS; he'd be bored.

I haven't heard that.  Maybe he would reconsider when it means putting country over a senate seat.  Which would seem boring after 20 years, if he reaches it.

Yeah, he's never going to be president but he would be an awesome SCOTUS justice!
