Dem Congress won't come to heel until the unwashed masses start pelting them (figuratively) with rotten eggs and rotton tomatoes.
Kind of a funny story.....
15 or so years ago, I was a much much bigger baseball fan than I am now. At that time the Commish Bud Selig who happened be also the owner of the Brewers blackmailed the past owner of the Astros into changing leagues as a condition of getting the sale and votes from other owners, ......and then move his team to the National League. Ultra sleazy move that would have been bit bucks festering rivalries with the Cardinals and Cubs... as we had.
Selig was supposedly planning a trip to Houston, so in the interim, I put together a bag of rotten fruit that I was going to pelt him with, if he made an appearance. But that appearance never materialized.
Researched it carefully, and found if I had done the dirty deed, I would have gotten a Class 2 misdemeanor, and at most a $2000 fine, since I had no criminal record. Would have been the best $2000 dollars I ever spent. Yep...Me at my most militant and angry
Congress though? No thanks, I think that's in felony territory, and I'll pass.
