Anti-Trump Jan 6 ‘Witness’ Cassidy Hutchinson Hit with Criminal Referral

Republicans on Capitol Hill have submitted a criminal referral to the Department of Justice (DOJ) asking prosecutors to consider charges against Cassidy Hutchinson, the former Trump White House aide who became a key “witness” for Democrats during their Jan. 6 “investigation.”
Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) made the referral in recent days, according to sources familiar with the move.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) also signed the referral as part of the broader Republican review of the House Jan. 6 committee and its investigation.
Republicans Accuse Hutchinson of Lying to Congress
Loudermilk’s referral accuses Hutchinson of lying to Congress during her 2022 testimony before the Democrat-led House Jan. 6 committee.
During her testimony, Hutchinson infamously told a wild, fabricated story about Trump that was presented as “evidence.”
