President Donald Trump has said there is "nothing left" to target in Iran as he suggested the war will end soon.

The conflict began nearly two weeks ago with strikes on Iran by the US and Israel aimed at dismantling Iran's military capabilities and nuclear program.

The US President told Axios: "Little this and that... Any time I want it to end, it will end."

It follows comments from Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, who said the war must be stopped before the whole Middle East region is "thrown into the fire".

He is all over the map.  One hour he threatens to make Iran uninhabitable, and the next he says the war is already over.  We can open any news site and read about ships getting attacked in the Strait of Hormuz.

There is going to be a reckoning when this is over and congress changes hands.  Witkoff and Kushner better get their story straight, because the Omani mediator said an agreement was in place and none of this was even necessary.

Trump is overly optimistic and he's underestimating how hard the mullahs will fight to remain in power.

Clearing out the mullahs is going to be like clearing Hamas out of Gaza or clearing the Japanese Army off Okinawa ... using flamethrowers and satchel charges to clear each an every cave and underground hideout.

The Iranian strategy is to out wait this latest Trump trantrum, live to fight another day, and rebuild offensive capabilities ... or the West will have to expend blood, treasury, newscycles, and midterm campaign days to flush them out of their spider holes, or to kill them.
