President Donald Trump is reportedly giving out his favorite kind of shoes to male staffers.

According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, Trump has been doling out his favorite leather Oxfords, a $145 pair of Florsheim shoes, to lawmakers, staff, agency leaders, and other head honchos.

“The president has taken to guessing people’s shoe size in front of them. He asks an aide to put in an order and, a week later, a brown Florsheim box arrives at the White House. Trump sometimes signs the box or attaches a note of gratitude, according to people familiar with the ritual,” the outlet reported.

“The 79-year-old billionaire, known for expensive Brioni suits, long red ties, and a penchant for aesthetics, late last year began searching for something that would feel better after a day on the job and settled on Florsheim. Trump liked them so much he started dispensing them. He pays for the shoes, the White House said.”

“All of the boys have them,” the WSJ quoted a female staffer as saying.

“It’s hysterical because everybody’s afraid not to wear them,” another joked.

Because I get sickened every night of those damned Trump Watch commercials.  Cheapens what should be the most prestigious and dignified occupation in the country. 

There are days I wish that Rubio or Vance won't get there quick enough.

Shoes seem to be a status symbol; kids in school especially wear the latest and most expense shoe brands and those that can't afford them are made fun of.

When we were kids we weren't allowed to wear tennis shoes as supposedly they made us look poor.

I would have worn my PF Flyers to bed if Mom would have let me!  The only place we couldn't wear them, was to church and to school.  The Nuns banned them.

If the shoes are comfortable I'd wear them.  If not, I won't and they go to Goodwill.  I have difficult feet (flat as duck feet), so I am particular about my shoes.

lol. doubt it's some kind of loyalty test - leather oxfords are "dress shoes", worn by people that have jobs where they don't walk around that much, especially outside. The WSJ is just trying to make another OMG Trump!  moment.
