Liberty Score F  54%

Conservative Review’s Liberty Score® grades members of Congress on the top 50 votes over a rolling six-year term. A letter grade is assigned to each member to help you quickly determine whether a lawmaker is supporting conservative principles. The Liberty Score® helps evaluate your representatives and senators, providing the tools necessary to separate rhetoric from reality. We don’t expect any elected officials to be perfect, but we do expect them to keep promises.

@EmeraldRobinson

Just got a call from a Senate staffer.

GOP leadership can't allow the disclosure of sex harassment settlements right now.

The reason? It would harm John Cornyn.

I'm told: that particular settlement was paid to another man.

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

No great love lost for Cornyn here, but I really don't think that is a real picture. Not only is Soros's face much sharper than Cornyn's but photo analysis (I have such tools) shows some tell-tale signs of manipulation. Here's just one set that I found:
"If all men are created equal, that is final. If they are endowed with inalienable rights, that is final. If governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, that is final. No advance, no progress can be made beyond these propositions. If anyone wishes to deny their truth or their soundness, the only direction in which he can proceed historically is not forward, but backward toward the time when there was no equality, no rights of the individual, no rule of the people."    -Calvin Coolidge

Regardless if the picture is real or not, his voting score reflects where he stands.  He needs to go.
Live in  harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

My best guess is Trump is watching how Talarico polls out the gate before picking between Paxton and Cornyn....

If his whacky blaspheme past persists and impacts his polling, i.e.  showing the seat is safe, i am guessing the nod goes Paxton.  Let's not forget that Paxton was on the AG short list late last year.  Trump rewards loyalty.

If it is close, RNC, and Wyles will advise him to stick with Cornyn.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.  Note:  Posts may also be allegorical in nature, and not literal.
