We attended our gun club's annual dinner last night and sat with a couple whose son is a very high-ranking officer at the U.S. military's main hospital in Germany. They said he explained that all casualties are sent there from wherever in the Middle East they're wounded, and it's not just our military who are in harm's way. This includes anyone working at embassies, bases, wherever the US has a presence - whether military or not. The dad said his son told him while the number of dead is low (still officially 6, I believe) the number of injured and wounded transported to Landstuhl is in the hundreds.
