"If all men are created equal, that is final. If they are endowed with inalienable rights, that is final. If governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, that is final. No advance, no progress can be made beyond these propositions. If anyone wishes to deny their truth or their soundness, the only direction in which he can proceed historically is not forward, but backward toward the time when there was no equality, no rights of the individual, no rule of the people."    -Calvin Coolidge

Leaving the Republican Party only gives Uniparty members a greater advantage of numbers.

Ross Perot and Pat Buchanin proved a 3rd party is not likely to work.

The Tea Party and the Freedom Caucus proved that caucusing in a united front within the Republican Party can work to a point.

We just have to keep primary-ing the SOB's until alternative candidates win primaries.  They can also run as Indepented in the General Election and caucus with the Republicans ... or whomever makes the best offer.

The greatestet threat to both parties is electoral irrelevance.  They exercise power by controlling the primaries.  If more candidates run as Indepenedents - and win - the party Establishments will be feckless.

It's a numbers game that can be gamed.

"Political correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it’s entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end." - Alan Simpson, Frontline Video Interview

Let’s get my position on the Republican Party crystal clear. I’ve been a registered Republican since Bill Clinton turned the Oval Office into his own personal brothel. Now that Senate Majority John Thune refuses to protect election integrity, I am disgusted with my party. I will NEVER vote for a Democrat in my life, but the RINO elements destroying the Republican party are a disgrace. I am a devout follower of President Trump, and as a registered Independent will continue to vote with Republicans when they stand behind this great President and act like Republicans again. Democrats, the ragtag band of con artists and grifters that they are, manage to work together in lockstep, but getting Republicans to accomplish anything is like herding cats. It’s absolutely infuriating.

I like James Wood and the courage he has taken to further conservative advocacy,

But OTOH, he might be tad more naive than we realize.  I wholly support the Safe Act, but we have to realize and understand the consequences of changing the rules, when they only apply to our benefit.  A day or 2 ago, I posted what I thought might be some future political headlines, if we lose the 60 vote barrier:

Future Headlines?:

July 2, 2029

Senate passes 51-49 for POTUS Shapiro's sweeping phasing and eventual ban of hydrocarbon use except for specific governmental approved applications.

August 16, 2030

VPOTUS Whitmer breaks 50-50 tie implementing POTUS Shapiro's legal immigration changes.  All residents showing proof of 5 years of residency will be granted retroactive citizenship

Don't do something we might regret in the future
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.  Note:  Posts may also be allegorical in nature, and not literal.
