You know.  I don't really dont care.  Let the press Do what the press do.

What bad would it do; Trump already has a dismal Endorsement Record.
I would expect no less of him.
No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

Live in  harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

Nope.  Don't want a repeat of Cornyn
The runoff will be bloody.  Cornyn is already slinging mud.

Hannity went on the offensive tonight, and it appears with just a little good research Tali(fake)o has a lot more bat shit crazy lefty stuff in his portfolio than we all realize.

Of course the sleazy dims are going to make him the Presbyterian Seminarian aw-shucks Jimmy Stewart clone, and will try to pull a Spamburger on Texas.  Let's get ahead of that now, no matter whether it is Cornyn or Paxton.

I think of particular interest and research needs to be   his stint at an educational NGO called Reasoning Mind which has (cough cough) Gates foundation connections.  Big lefty slant, and in light of the DOGE efforts and findings, we need to find our if is real name needs to :

Term limits would have prevented a run from this 74 year old who already has served 24 years in the Senate.

Just sayin' ....

Trump Is Expected to Endorse Cornyn
The Atlantic, Mar 4, 2025

President Trump’s political advisers expect him to endorse Senator John Cornyn in Texas’s May 26 Republican-primary runoff election following the incumbent’s better-than-expected finish against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in the first round of voting yesterday, three people briefed on the deliberations told us.

Trump declined to get involved in the race before the first round of voting, and Republican Senate strategists had been worried that he wouldn’t endorse Cornyn, who has been critical of the president in the past. Strategists have also warned that Paxton, a scandal-scarred favorite of Trump’s MAGA base, would need more money from top GOP donors than Cornyn would require to defeat the Democratic nominee, James Talarico.

Estimates of the added cost of Paxton being the nominee in the general election range from about $80 million to more than $200 million, according to several top strategists, given the Democrats’ ability to raise massive sums of money in the state from individual donors if the race is perceived as winnable.

KEN PAXTON: I'll consider dropping out if Senate Leadership pass SAVE Act

Quote
Attorney General Ken Paxton\
@KenPaxtonTX

The Save America Act is the most important bill the U.S. Senate could ever pass, and I'm committed to helping President Trump get it done.

I would consider dropping out of this race if Senate Leadership agrees to lift the filibuster and passes the SAVE America Act.

John Cornyn is a coward who has refused to support abolishing the filibuster to pass this bill. Now, Fake News reporters and the establishment are trying to destroy me with misinformation.

The truth is clear: No one has been more loyal to Donald Trump than me—fighting the stolen 2020 election, being in Mar-a-Lago when he announced his 2024 campaign, and standing with him in NY in the face of lawfare.

For the good of our country and for the good of passing President Trump's agenda, I am determined to help him get this done.

Trump?  For a guy who ran on emptying the swamp, picking Cornyn sure seems opposite of that.   Bad Move.

I am guessing he is basing it solely on elect-ability  Admitted, I think Cornyn does have a slight edge there....   But if means beating Talarico by 10 instead of 5?

Hmmmmm

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

"NEW: Ken Paxton tells Benny Johnson he will NOT drop out of the Texas GOP Senate primary against John Cornyn even if President Trump endorses Cornyn. Paxton says he’s not worried about what people in Washington think — he’s running for the people of Texas."
