Which is exactly why digging a canal as an alternative to going thru the Strait of Hormuz is a total waste of time and effort.

19,000 a day? Seems like a stretch, but I could easily believe 2,000 a day.

In any case...
Russia and China are going to keep re-supplying whatever forces are left in iran (and perhaps iranian-backed operatives in other muslim countries). And there seem to be -- at least for now -- plenty of "forces" left, perhaps given the authority to operate and target autonomously.

No matter how much Mr. Trump keeps saying "they're destroyed", somehow they seem to keep hitting back. Not with great numbers, but the accuracy of the continuing drone/missile attacks is evident.

The only way to STOP these attacks is going to involve killing them all.
Because whoever is "left" will keep launching the drones, missiles, etc.

What options/resources will that require?

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it was expanding its strikes targeting Iran’s infrastructure after completing a wave of strikes on several Iranian regime headquarters.

“The IDF is currently expanding the scope of its strikes against the infrastructure of the Iranian regime in additional areas in western and central Iran, with the aim of broadly and systematically degrading the regime’s command-and-control capabilities,” the IDF said.

Earlier Sunday, the Israeli Air Force completed a wave of strikes targeting the Iran’s infrastructure around Hamedan in western Iran, the IDF said, noting several “key” headquarters belonging to the IRGC and the Basij Forces were struck.

The IDF said these headquarters were where the Iranian regime managed and advanced attacks against Israel and other countries across the Middle East.

The hub has a loading capacity of about 7 million barrels per day, and roughly 90% of Iran’s crude oil exports pass through it.

Most of those exports are shipped to China and India, underscoring the island’s importance not only to Iran’s energy trade but also to broader global oil markets.

The U.S. launched a bombing raid on the island on Friday.

President Donald Trump said at the time that the U.S. had deliberately avoided targeting the island’s oil infrastructure, while warning that could change if Iran moved to disrupt shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.

As the war in Iran entered its third week, Pahlavi — the son of the late Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi — said he has been working in recent months to develop a transition plan should the Iranian regime collapse to ensure the country does not experience a disruption in governance.

Pahlavi said in a social media post that "capable individuals" have been identified both inside and outside Iran to lead what he called a "transitional system."

"The transitional system, under my leadership, will be ready to assume governance of the country as soon as the Islamic Republic falls and, in the shortest possible time, establish order, security, freedom and the conditions for Iran’s prosperity and flourishing," he said.

Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has reportedly been flown to Moscow for leg surgery after suffering serious injuries during airstrikes.

Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida reports that Khamenei was secretly taken out of Iran and flown to Moscow on a Russian military aircraft for the operation.

He reportedly underwent a “successful” surgery in one of Putin’s presidential palaces.
