Russia has betrayed yet another ally

Russia will not impose sanctions on the U.S. over strikes on Iran, despite Lavrov’s earlier promises to fully support the Islamic regime.

It is "not our method," said Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov.

Yesterday, Putin expressed “serious concern” over the U.S. and Israeli military operation against Iran.

Back in December, in an interview with Iranian media, Lavrov promised to support the Islamic regime in Iran in case of an attack (video).

Don't celebrate just yet. Iran was not using those assets to challenge shipping - they were meant to challenge the US Navy for control of the Strait. For shipping and against US Navy, they built hundreds of go-fast boats with mounted heavy machine guns and anti-ship missiles, plus, along the many islands of the Strait, there are many, many anti-ship missiles and drone bases.

Until those are taken out, shipping is still in danger of being set on fire and sunk.
