Many of us who are in the latter part of life like to give thought of what would be a better world for my (our) grandchildren.  I was anti-Trump in '16, but now his vision as far as I can see is to:

Eliminate Muslim terrorism
"Un-woke" the nation
Put the dagger into the climate scam
Squash the drug trade-
Industrialize the nation so they'll have jobs and careers
DeClaw our intrusive government which has made our live's hell for decades.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced Sunday that nine Iranian naval ships have been sunk as part of combat operations against Iran.

“I have just been informed that we have destroyed and sunk 9 Iranian Naval Ships, some of them relatively large and important,” Trump wrote in a post on X, adding that Iran’s naval headquarters has been “largely destroyed” in a different attack.


“We are going after the rest — They will soon be floating at the bottom of the sea, also!” Trump wrote.

U.S. Central Command officials said earlier Sunday that an Iranian Jamaran-class corvette was struck by U.S. forces at the beginning of Operation Epic Fury.

US confirms first combat use of LUCAS one-way attack drone in Iran strikes

U.S. Central Command officials have confirmed that airstrikes launched on Iran on Saturday involved the first combat use of the U.S. military’s new autonomous kamikaze drone.

The Low-cost Unmanned Combat Attack System, or LUCAS drone, was launched as part of Operation Epic Fury, which targeted Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps command and control facilities, Iranian air defense capabilities, missile and drone launch sites and military airfields, CENTCOM officials announced.


“The president ordered bold action, and our brave soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines, guardians, and Coast Guardsmen are answering the call,” Adm. Brad Cooper, commander of CENTCOM, said in the release.

The LUCAS platform is a one-way attack drone reverse-engineered after the Iranian Shahed-136.

Built by the Arizona-based SpektreWorks, the drone, which can be launched via catapults, rocket-assisted takeoff and mobile ground systems, is a spinoff of the company’s FLM 136 target model, one designed for counter-drone training while simulating Iran’s Shahed variant.

IMO, Trump's messaging sequence was messed up --- absolutely upside down and inside out @libertybele

Trump needed to prepare us for a real possibility of war before he started dropping bombs.  If I could, I'd go back to Saturday, put Trump in a suit behind the resolute desk, reserve network airtime and have him give an 8 minute speech to the American people to update them, focusing on why this war would be necessary (based on current events more than on those from 43 years ago).

I would have ended the speech assuring the American people that the appropriate members of Congress have been notified and are up-to-date on developments and his administration is fully prepared for war as it continues to work for peace.

This ⬆️ should have dominated the Sunday talk shows ---- a president in control, strong, prepared, unapologetic.  ----

Instead he spoke through social media at 3:00 am early Sunday morning to announce a war had begun ----  and then was out of pocket for the next 12+ hours giving the democrats time to hone their attack points unobstructed.

Trump needs to fix this.

I'll repeat this again; Rubio notified the Gang of Eight.  Enough people were notified at the time.  Even at that there is indication that information about this plan was leaked.

3 F-15s shot down by Kuwait in friendly fire incident, pilots safe, US says

Three U.S. F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jets were shot down Sunday by Kuwaiti air defenses “due to an apparent friendly fire incident,” U.S. Central Command announced.

The U.S. Air Force crews were flying in support of the ongoing campaign against Iran, dubbed Operation Epic Fury, when they were shot down, officials said.


“All six aircrew ejected safely, have been safely recovered and are in stable condition,” a CENTCOM release stated. “Kuwait has acknowledged this incident, and we are grateful for the efforts of the Kuwaiti defense forces and their support in this ongoing operation.”

The incident is under investigation, the release added.

Will this action end up just kicking the can down the road, be it years down the road or will it be the end of the Islamic regime altogether? I'm not too excited to have it go back to being a kingdom unless the "kingdom" is run by the people.

We're only 3 days in and nothing is clear other than Iran's head has been cut off. Iran is a large country with plenty of places to hide things. Even is something pops up on satellite it takes a long time to get to where it popped up and it will be gone.

If he's successful it will change the world in ways no one could have imagined just a few days ago. If he fails it will be very costly to America and its allies.

Unfortunately, Congress has their noses bent out of joint and I forsee them trying to stifle his agenda.

Right now we have the Pentagon saying in essence that there was no intel of an imminent threat. Congress also holds the purse strings.   Will Trump be forced to disengage?

A seasoned president solidifies his support before announcing the start of a war because -- the glorious rush of adrenaline aside --- this is a political undertaking with political repercussions. No one is suggesting Trump should have distributed the attack maps, just make the prospect of war real and palatable ---- even wrap it in the flag.
