De Niro weeps for us all

Somebody has to do it.

The great artiste Robert De Niro has struck another blow against the Trump tyranny by bursting into tears on a low-level podcast over the past weekend.

Crypto-fascist supporters of the MAGA regime shuddered in open fear as the legendary thespian scrunched up his face and sobbed over the Orange Godzilla’s depredations.

This occurred on “The Best People with Nicholle Wallace.” Not what you’d call a familiar name, Wallace has the air of a suburban housewife who happened to walk into the Apple offices at the same time they had a spare time slot to hand out.

Wallace led off with incisive, well-thought-out questions such as “Trump is so spiteful and threatens people that speak out… are you afraid of him?” to which Mr. Punch-Trump-in-the-Face answered with the collection of grunts, monosyllables, and non sequiturs that he’s become noted for.

The high point arrived with this: “You’re always about lifting up everybody around you… why is that?”

If you're an actor who cannot weep on cue, you're an unemployed actor.
DeNiro's act is pure theater.
