Detroit Tigers offer Ramadan greetings, say nothing about Lent
Feb 20, 2026 11:00 am By Robert Spencer17 Comments

The Detroit Tigers recognize which group is in the driver’s seat in the Detroit area today. But are Muslims really likely to form a significant part of the Tigers’ fanbase? It could theoretically happen, as sports are not forbidden in Islam as long as the Muslim sports fan doesn’t get too carried away and idolize players or teams. It seems unlikely, however, since most Muslims in the Detroit area are from areas of the world that don’t play baseball.

At the same time, is it wise for the Tigers to ignore their non-Muslim fanbase and take it for granted? Wise or not, it’s happening.

FC Cincinnati has shown support for Muslim players observing Ramadan, a holy month in the Islamic calendar marked by fasting from sunrise to sunset, increased prayer, and charitable acts.

On February 22, 2026, during a match against Atlanta United FC, FC Cincinnati paused play at sundown to allow players observing Ramadan to break their fast.

Ramadan greetings usually come with full automatic AK-47 fire, IEDs, or bomb vests

Dearbornestan must be appeased.  Like Muzzies go to the Tigers games, unless they plan to suicide bomb a game.
