Truth bombs in Munich

We are fortunate in America to have stalwarts like V.P. Vance and Secretary Rubio.

Kevin Finn | February 15, 2026

The more I see of Marco Rubio, the more I like him.  He and Vice President Vance have been taking it to the globalists and assorted leftists in no uncertain terms.  We can count ourselves lucky to have such people on our side.

These articulate, fearless figures have taken the stage at the Munich Security Conference (MSC) to challenge the complacency of global elites and exposed the flaws in the Western alliance and international institutions.  Their unyielding speeches, delivered in 2025 and 2026, respectively, exemplify a commitment to “speaking truth to power” — a phrase that captures their willingness to confront hypocrisy, defend core values, and prioritize national interests over polite consensus.

V.P. Vance set the tone in 2025 with a blistering address that triggered the Munich crowd.  His speech drew groans and heckles as he ripped into European hypocrisy on free speech and democracy.  Vance critiqued the E.U.’s threats to shut down social media during unrest, Germany’s police raids on “anti-feminist” online comments, Sweden’s conviction of a Christian activist for Koran burnings, and the U.K.’s criminalization of silent prayer near abortion mills.  He pointed out European backsliding on fundamental liberties, warning that “the threat from within” — a retreat from Cold War values — poses a greater danger than external foes like Russia or China.

His offer to defend Europeans’ right to speak, even in disagreement, stood in stark contrast to the silence of the Biden era.  He linked mass migration to the violence caused by migrants, such as the car-ramming incident in Munich.  He also criticized European leaders for ignoring voter demands like Brexit.  He took a humor-laced jab at his “Greta Thunberg scolding” while urging tolerance for Elon Musk’s influence, his articulate edge blending critique with wit.

We’re lucky to have him.  He’s unafraid to face boos, demands accountability from allies, and bolsters U.S. moral authority globally.
