Over 3000 Missing Migrant Children Located in Minneapolis During Trump’s ‘Operation Metro Surge’

President Donald Trump’s immigration enforcement operation in Minnesota is being hailed as a major success after federal authorities located thousands of missing migrant children in the Minneapolis area.
Border czar Tom Homan announced that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents found 3,364 unaccompanied alien children during a multi-month operation launched on December 1, 2025.
The children, Homan said, were individuals the prior administration had lost track of and failed to search for.
“The Twin Cities, and Minnesota in general, are and will continue to be much safer for the communities here because of what we have accomplished under President Trump’s leadership,” Homan said while confirming the operation’s conclusion.
