Man this "Judge" is a lesbian nut job.
Speedlin Gonzalez, who is accused of having a defense attorney handcuffed Dec. 17, 2024, and placed in a jury holding area, was indicted by a grand jury last month on charges of official oppression and unlawful restraint.

She has since been temporarily removed from her position as County Court 13 judge after being suspended by the Texas Commission on Judicial Conduct.

Courtroom transcripts from the hearing provide insight into what led to Speedlin Gonzalez having attorney Elizabeth Russell handcuffed.

The hearing was held after the state accused Russell's client of violating the conditions of his probation, which included failing to report to his probation officer and not meeting the required hours of community service.

The hearing was listed in court records as a contested hearing.

After Speedlin Gonzalez asked the defendant to plead true or not true to the allegations, he pleaded true, which prompted Russell to ask the judge for a moment to speak to her client.

"So, judge, (defendant's name) would like to recall his plea of true and correct the record," Russell said.

"Attorneys are not allowed to coach answers to their clients." Speedlin Gonzalez said in response. "He was under oath, he stated ‘true.'"

The judge then told Russell that the record would reflect that the defendant took back his plea of true after being "coached" by her.

"Judge, I'm going to object to that," Russell said.

"It's on the record. You can object all you want, Ms. Russell," Speedlin Gonzalez said.

The judge then told Russell to stop and that her "argumentative ways" were not going to work in the courtroom.

"Stop or I'll hold you in contempt," the judge said.

After a brief back-and-forth, Russell asked the judge if she could be recused from the case, which then prompted the judge to request she be placed in custody.

"Take her into custody and put her in the box. We are not having this hearing this way," Speedlin Gonzalez said.
