Mass shooting in British Columbia leaves 10 dead and dozens wounded

A shooting at a school in British Columbia left at least eight people dead, including a woman whom police believe to be the shooter, with two more people found dead at a home believed to be connected to the incident, Canadian authorities said Tuesday.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said more than 25 people were injured, including two with life‑threatening injuries, after the shooting at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School.

RCMP Superintendent Ken Floyd told reporters that investigators had identified the shooter but would not release a name, and that the suspect's motive remained unclear.

I have hasd 2 students that I would describe a "gender confused" but later in life (After several years of Therapy) got their lives together.

Seems like SSRIs are involved in a lot of these events, going back to the Columbine Shooting. If the drugs don't cause suicidal/homicidal ideation, abruptly stopping taking them without supervision can.
Combine that with the wrong hormones for the genetics of the individual and it is no surprise that so many of these type of events involve "trans" people.

“I was estranged from Jesse Strang and was not part of his life,” he told the CBC in a statement, using the last name of the shooter’s mom, Jennifer Strang, who was among the eight shot dead Tuesday.

Taking an unstable teen boy, giving him powerful hormones and telling him that the entire structure of history, society and biology is allied against him is a recipe for disaster, writes The Post Editorial Board.

If it wasn’t already, the Jesse Van Rootselaar horror story makes it tragically obvious that the “best practices” our health-care establishment adopted for cases of “gender dysphoria” are absolutely terrible.

Radical activists somehow persuaded the medical and mental-health establishments that “gender-affirming care” is the only answer — when in fact it is destroying the lives of confused children.

Supposedly responsible and caring adults are using kids as culture-war cannon-fodder, grooming them into permanent mutilation.

Affirming something that (in all but a tiny fraction of cases) is only a passing confusion is awful even when it doesn’t come with life-changing hormone therapy and/or surgery.

Particularly when the underlying issue is significant mental illness, which then goes untreated.

Think about it: In every other scenario where a young person believes that something is wrong with their healthy body, responsible adults in the caring professions counsel the child to align his or her perceptions with physical reality.

Add to all that, the echo chamber cries that these people are being "genocided", and in their already questionable mental state, you have added the justification for killing anyone who is out to kill them--and that is literally everyone who is not one of their ranks.

In short, they have, by feeding already mentaly ill people cause for their paranoia, created a monster. Trans school shooter Jesse Van Rootselaar, who murdered his mother as well as his 11-year-old stepbrother, has tried to kill his family before, according to a report from the Telegraph. Van Roostelaar, a man who identified as a woman, shot his family members then murdered several school children and a teacher before turning the gun on himself at Tumbler Ridge in Canada.

Melanie, a neighbor who lives a few houses down from where the shooter took the life of his family, told the outlet, “A couple of years back, he lit their house on fire because he was trying to kill his own family… it almost completely burnt down. He was just sitting out in the front when the fire trucks arrived."
 
Melanie, who did not provide her last name, said that "everyone on the street saw the blaze," which destroyed the inside of the Canadian home. The incident, however, was later "dismissed" by the police. The outlet said that authorities have not confirmed the incident.

Van Rootselaar has a history of mental illness, and police have been called a number of times to the home related to mental health episodes as well as firearm incidents. The outlet reports that in a social media post, Van Rootselaar mentioned the alleged arson attack, saying that he was under the influence of psychedelic mushrooms at the time.
