Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called on House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., to allow her and her husband to have a public hearing on the Epstein files Thursday.

Clinton issued the challenge in a post on X, saying Republicans have ignored her and former President Bill Clinton's previous testimony on the topic.

"For six months, we engaged Republicans on the Oversight Committee in good faith. We told them what we know, under oath. They ignored all of it. They moved the goalposts and turned accountability into an exercise in distraction," Hillary wrote.

"So let’s stop the games. If you want this fight, Rep. James Comer, let’s have it—in public," she continued, tagging the committee chairman. "You love to talk about transparency. There’s nothing more transparent than a public hearing, cameras on. We will be there."

A deposition is both party councils questioning the party(s) being deposed under oath until all questions are asked and responded to, what Hillary wants is a public hearing where she gets questioned by each member of the committee in turn for only 5 minutes.

I'm fine with allowing a public hearing so long as it comes AFTER the depositions have been completed.

She wants a public hearing so she can pretend to be a "poor victim" of that evil Trump-Hitler on public TV, and maybe rehabilitate her image in the process.

She is not being called to testify, she is being deposed.
Testimony questioners are limited to either 5 or 10 minutes and the scope is limited.
Depositions continue until the questioners' are satisfied with the answers they receive.

She wants to get into a shouting match to distract and deflect from directly answering questions.

The best thing the GOP can do, is to layout all the evidence without addressing Hillary or asking her questions until the very last GOP Congressman's turn.  This would get the evidence out in public for the public to make up their own opinions.  The last thing Hillary wants is public consumption of evidence which directly contradicts anything she has said before under oath or in public.

Hang all the dirty laundry on the clothes line before asking her a single question.

Hillary lives for the fight.  Deny her the fight; deny her the confrontation unitl the very end.  By then, it's too late, the dirty laundry is out for everyone to see.
