Methinks perhaps we should reconsider the title of this ongoing thread. It’s safe to say that things may have progressed a mite beyond “Very Concerned.”

This really should be on the news every single night with a calendar announcement:

DAY FIVE HUNDRED NINETY SIX OF THE SEARCH FOR NANCY GUTHRIE!!

And then a half-hour of the requisite breathless drama to go along with it.

Until something of significance happens to where they are close to finding the abductor(s) or they come across her remains, the continued news on this is just repetitive. Yes, I feel for the family, but it's reality.

Focusing on Iran and the liberal whackados should be the news of the day.

Turns out the Sheriff of Nottingham was fired from the El Paso police dept and had been suspended for 37 total days.  He's totally incompetent.

He is what cops call a "gypsy". He wanders from one firing to.the next.

New Nancy Guthrie ransom notes sent to TMZ claim to know her location as Savannah makes ‘Today’ show return
By David Propper
Published April 6, 2026
Updated April 6, 2026, 4:36 p.m. ET

TMZ received two more purported ransom notes Monday claiming to know where Nancy Guthrie’s body is — and who is responsible for her kidnapping, the outlet revealed.

The pair of notes was sent from the same mystery person who, nearly two months ago, demanded one bitcoin in exchange for information related to Guthrie’s Feb. 1 disappearance.

“We got another letter today from this person, an email saying, ‘I know where her body is, and who the kidnapper is, give me half a bitcoin and I’ll tell you,'” Harvey Levin said on air Monday — the same day Savannah Guthrie returned to the “Today” show for the first time since her mom went missing.

That note claimed, “She is dead.”

After that first note was addressed on “TMZ Live” by Levin, the gossip site founder, another note came in from the same person, stating, “I saw her alive with them in the state of Sonora Mexico,” according to the outlet.

This story has obviously lost traction, but this with the help of the already sleazy TMZ is basically torturing this poor lady and her family.  Enough.....

Expert Says 'Walls Are Closing In' On Nancy Guthrie's Kidnapper

An FBI expert believes the "walls are closing in" on Nancy Guthrie's kidnapper after her daughter, Savannah, returned to the TODAY Show anchor desk on Monday (April 6).

Former FBI agent Jason Pack told Page Six that Savannah's return to her "national platform" will keep attention on her mother's case.

“Every day that passes the pressure builds. Keeping a secret like this is exhausting. … and that gets harder with every morning that Savannah Guthrie sits behind that anchor desk,” Pack said.

“Most criminals in cases like this count on the media moving on,” he continued. “They count on the family fading from public view. They count on people forgetting. This case is different. Savannah has a national platform and she shows up on it every single day. Every time a viewer sees her face, they think about her mother.”

Pack said the "pressure on the people responsible" will increase as the case continues to receive more attention.

“Add a reward of more than one million dollars and the full weight of FBI resources and you have a situation where the walls are not just closing, but they are closing from every direction at once,” he said.

Nancy Guthrie’s kidnappers likely didn’t know she was so fragile — and dumped her body because she was ‘no longer of value,’ expert says
By Patrick Reilly
Published April 9, 2026, 7:13 a.m. ET

Savannah Guthrie’s ailing 84-year-old mom likely suffered a fatal medical episode during her kidnapping — and her greedy captors were forced to dump her body because she was no longer “of value” to them once dead, according to a cold-case expert.

The kidnappers likely “underestimated” how fragile Nancy Guthrie’s health was when they carried out their sickening money grab, Brian Martin, an Indiana detective who specializes in cold cases, told NewsNation’s Brian Entin.

That left them forced to scrap their ransom plan and get rid of her body when things went “sideways” with the “Today” show host’s mom, who had a slew of major health issues, the detective suggested.

“What really bothers me is if they underestimated Miss Guthrie’s health and thought, ‘Well, we’ll take her, this will be easy. We’ll hold on to her at an unknown location for a day or two. We’ll get some money out of this and we’ll leave her in a Walmart parking lot,’” Martin said.

Since we're speculating I'd like to propose that Nancy Guthrie was really a legendary international assassin. She was found out by a Colombian cartel and when they sent a hit team to take her out she captured them, carted them off for interrogation, went dark, and is right now killing her way through her South American enemies like a geriatric John Wick.

Ex-FBI agent suggests costly way to finally crack Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapping case
By Emily Crane
Published April 10, 2026, 7:30 a.m. ET

A former FBI agent believes Nancy Guthrie’s family should pay half the bitcoin being demanded in sick ransom notes to see if it finally leads to her whereabouts.

Two purported ransom notes were sent to TMZ earlier this week demanding one bitcoin — worth about $72,000 — in exchange for information related to the 84-year-old’s abduction from her Arizona home, including delivering the kidnappers on a “silver platter.”

“Tickling the wire in this case would be putting half a bitcoin and seeing what happens to it,” former FBI agent Jennifer Coffindaffer told Newsweek.

“Do they take it? Do they convert it to pesos? It’s internationally tracked. How does it come out into currency? Do they just leave it there?” she said of the notes suggesting the 84-year-old mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie was taken across the border to Mexico.

“Once it’s gone, it’s going to be gone. But I would want that last bread crumb. I think it would be worth it to me.”

Since Guthrie was abducted from her Tucson, Arizona, home on Feb. 1, investigators have yet to unveil any suspects or fresh leads in the case.

On the Interview Room last night on YouTube, which is hosted by current and former police investigators, they compared the Guthrie case to another recent case, where they also asked for bitcoin almost identically to the Guthrie case and this was just someone trying to cash in.  If anyone has a chance to watch this podcast it's worth the time, but it's quite long.  They don't come out and exactly say it, but  they are leaning towards the family.  Too many things point in this direction that just don't make sense.  Such as....  the day after she was abducted the sheriff basically recited a script written by the family... almost all evidence is from the family....

I watched the Interview Room last night on Youtube.  They've kind of come to the conclusion that the guy at the front door with the mask was basically staged there.  Just to be seen by the video camera to throw off the investigation.  There are still a lot of things pointing to the son-in-law doing this....  time will tell I suppose.

At this point, every possibility remains on the table. The problem with reviewing evidence is that sometimes seemingly inconsequential things may bee the key to the case, and with a trampled crime scene and multiple agencies involved that becomes a problem.

Yeah the crime scene was not secured at all.  The detectives last night said they would have taken all of the doors with them and the entire property would have been secured.  They did make an interesting observation in that the older brother went back home early and wasn't really part of much....meaning that there may have been a fracture between him and Annie and the brother in law.  In the webcast they call the sheriff.....sheriff no-nads.  He's quite incompetent apparently.

Nancy Guthrie case sparks clash as FBI Director Kash Patel rips sheriff
Pima County Sheriff's Department pushes back, saying a member of the FBI Task Force was present at the scene
 By Louis Casiano Fox News
Published May 5, 2026 8:20pm EDT

FBI Director Kash Patel criticized local authorities for their handling of the Nancy Guthrie missing persons investigation, stating that his agency was initially kept "out of the loop."

Patel voiced his criticism during an appearance on the "Hang Out with Sean Hannity" podcast that aired Tuesday. He said the FBI was sidelined by the Pima County Sheriff's Department for four days as time was of the essence in the first days of Guthrie's disappearance.

"What we, the FBI, do is say, ‘Hey, we're here to help. What do you need?’" Patel told Hannity. "What can we do? And for four days, we were kept out of the investigation."

Additionally, instead of having DNA evidence taken to an FBI lab in Quantico, Va., for testing, Nanos instead elected to have the samples shipped to a private lab in Florida.

"The first 48 hours of anyone's disappearance are the most critical," Patel said, noting that while local authorities had jurisdiction, the delay was costly. "We would have analyzed it within days and maybe gotten better information — more information."

"Our lab is just better than any other private lab out there, and we didn't get a chance to do that," he added.

In response, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said that decisions regarding evidence processing were made on-scene based on operational needs.

I thought kidnapping was a federal crime and the FBI took over when they hit the scene.

Nancy Guthrie case sparks clash as FBI Director Kash Patel rips sheriff
Pima County Sheriff's Department pushes back, saying a member of the FBI Task Force was present at the scene

And there you have it....the sheriff kept the FBI out of the investigation for 4 days.  He's basically the reason there has been no arrest.
