That "separation of 7 Provinces" isn't as close as those sensational headlines say.

Alberta is only polling about 30-35% support right now ... that could change, but that's the reality right now.

But Quebec does have a Provincial election this October, which the separatist PQ Party is currently set to win ... that's a more likely Province to secede first.

Alberta would be another Colorado with oil.  Socialized medicine is expected, less than half identify as Christian, and they have been deluged with immigration lately.  So this would add to our GDP but also give 7 EVs to the dems fairly easily.  Republicans might carry 1 or 2 rural house districts.

We don't want them as a state.  Didn't someone up thread say make them an "Organized" territory? You know, Like Puerto Rico. Its people have been U.S. citizens since the Jones Act of 1917, though they cannot vote in presidential elections while residing on the island and generally do not pay federal income tax.

Colorado has oil. I have worked wells in the Piceance Basin, and the DJ.

But Colorado is afflicted like California.

Their government keeps them from tapping their resources to their fullest potential.
Sort of like a self-contained Ottawa in each state.
