Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

What national conservative office holders campaigned with and for Sears?  What conservative governor(s) campaigned with and for Sears (other than Youngkin)?

Sears was left on the field by those oh so brilliant conservatives ---they just couldn't get off their asses and help her.

Hypocrite much?

Trump endorses dozens ahead of Tuesday elections — but doesn’t name Earle-Sears.

The president has yet to officially endorse the Virginia gubernatorial hopeful

President Donald Trump endorsed more than 50 Republicans on Sunday night — but didn’t specifically name Virginia gubernatorial hopeful Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears ahead of Tuesday’s critical elections.

In dozens of social media posts, the president threw his support behind both first time hopefuls and those seeking reelection, including Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Earle-Sears, facing off against Democrat Abigail Spanberger, was not mentioned by name among the 53 endorsements Trump issued Sunday.  .  .

Look, I know how busy you were in 2025 running two wars so you may have missed this:   Sears had declined Trump's endorsement more than once  ----- not even Glenn could talk her out of it.

I am always amazed at how effortlessly your brain spews out a lie to cover for the last asinine statement you got caught making.

I saw it coming in 1994 when the Virginia GOP backed Democrat Chuck Robb over Republican Oliver North for the US Senate.

And of course, there's the "race/gender" factor. Like it or not, that can still matter to folks in the southern and southwestern areas of the state.

Most of Southern and SW Virginia voted for Sears. It was NoVa, Charlottesville, and the East that voted for the commie.

I completely agree… the declined Trump endorsement aside, only a few topline conservatives made some token appearances with her, but most left her twisting in the wind.  We’re really effed here in the Old Dominion, aren’t we..

Who are these top line Conservative national officials you speak of?  Because every Conservative I know has been driven off.  And the reason the Old Dominion is effed is because there is no opposition party to the Democrats.  I still remember how shocked the State GOP was that Younkin had won four years ago as if there was a disturbance in the Force.  And how much they hate Cuccinelli to this day.

The closer you get to D.C. the more commie it becomes.
