Fox Varian, now 22, has been awarded $2 million in damages with $1.6 million for past and future suffering as well as $400,000 for medical expenses going forward.

The first detransitioner medical malpractice case that has gone to trial has resulted in a $2 million verdict against those who cut off the breasts of a 16-year-old girl who, at the time, identified as transgender but no longer does.

Fox Varian, now 22, has been awarded $2 million in damages, with $1.6 million for past and future suffering as well as $400,000 for medical expenses going forward, according to the Epoch Times. Jurors in the case found that the so-called medical professionals in the case fast-tracked Varian on the track of gender surgery without the necessary evaluation. This included a surgeon as well as a psychologist who facilitated the removal of Varian's breasts at the age of 16.

The jury found that in many respects, the missteps from the surgeon and psychologists were a "departure from the standard of care" that was supposed to be given. Varian's attorney Adam Deutsch had asked for $8 million in damages during closing statements. ...

One of Ryan's posts on X is a spreadsheet of such suits. Some are pending; some have been dismissed over the statute of limitations, but appeals are pending.

Booze, smokes, tattoos, drugs, driving, guns, and probably at least half a dozen other things I can't think of that minors aren't legally allowed to do.

Oh but get chopped up, mangled, disfigured on an operating table on a whim - no problem. Not to mention the harsh side effects of the drugs.

Even worse, parents forcing it on a boy because he played with a doll for a few minutes one afternoon.

Good points.

Except this was a girl, and getting breasts removed is MAJOR surgery and recovery.  (Never mind any other anatomically correct things that might need to be added.)

I wish this young lady well.  I don't think it will be easy going forward.  These ghouls chopped her breasts off. Pumped her full of drugs. Stole her youth.  Whatever the jury award was...It isn't enough.

Now having said that. What The F@ck kinda parents would allow this mutilation.

I pray she finds that someone who will ignore the mutilation and love her for herself. There are thousands of guys out there who love women who have had mastectomies, bilateral and otherwise. Hopefully hormone and other treatments didn't do further damage.
