The endorsements by the sheriffs are a win. At this point, I don't think Trump's endorsements are going to be seen as important as they once were.

Byron Donalds, the Republican frontrunner for Florida governor endorsed by President Donald Trump, has secured endorsements from more than half of the state’s Republican sheriffs, his campaign announced Tuesday.
The latest endorsements come from four sheriffs: Michael Bryant of Calhoun County, AJ Smith of Franklin County, Mac McNeill of Jefferson County and Dusty Arnold of Liberty County. That brings Donalds’ total to 33 sheriff endorsements, according to the campaign.
The endorsements add to support from Trump, Elon Musk, U.S. House leadership, 17 members of Florida’s congressional delegation and 75% of the Republican caucus in the Florida House, the campaign said.
“Byron Donalds is the candidate Florida law enforcement trusts to keep our state safe,” Ryan Smith, chief strategist for the Donalds campaign, said in a statement. “As Governor, Byron will work with President Trump and the brave men and women in law enforcement to protect our communities from dangerous criminals, illegal immigrants, and deadly drugs.”
Donalds is seeking the GOP nomination in the 2026 gubernatorial race to succeed term-limited Gov. Ron DeSantis. The campaign highlighted recent fundraising success, additional endorsements and polling that shows Donalds leading Republican primary opponents and Democratic challengers.............
