The secret is to stock a full pantry months and years ahead.

My preps for a big weather event are likely nothing at all. The pantry is full. the woodshed is full, I already know the jenny will run and is topped off and ready to go.The farm tanks are full of diesel and gas. There's plenty of hay in the shed and grain in the bins.

Anything I may need is incidental.
And I never have to buy from scalpers.
