Who can post the most outrageously stupid recent Democrat quote?

He’s not wrong.  The Second Amendment was intended, at least in part, to let Americans protect themselves from overreach by the new federal government.

That is true of the Bill of Rights; the first 10 amendments to the Constitution. Their purpose is to protect you, me… us… from government overreach.

I'm not saying that it is; but that does not change the fact that one of the principal purposes of the Bill of Rights, including the Second Amendment, was to give the individual citizens the ability to resist the federal government.  And that does not even begin to address the subject of what laws are sufficiently moral that obedience is a moral requirement, and which are sufficiently immoral that their enforcement can be opposed.  After all, the NSDAP enacted all manner of laws in the 1930s and 40s, and I rather doubt if all would agree that, simply because they were enacted under the applicable principles of positive law, that obedience to them was therefore a moral obligation.

Dunno. It's just the mother lode of stupid. Just looking a that vein any more and I feel the intelligence seeping out of me. It's more insidious than Medusa, 'cause it's slow and sneaky.
