Tens of thousands of workers are expected to leave work early Tuesday to protest the one-year anniversary of President Trump’s second inauguration.

Nearly 40,000 people RSVP’d to participate in a 2 p.m. Free America Protest, according to Axios.

Free America encourages demonstrators to meet Tuesday wearing red, white and blue in locations including Central Park, Prospect Park, Washington Square Park and Trump Tower in Midtown. At least 800 events associated with that movement are slated for what’s shaping up to be a frigid afternoon in New York City.

“This is not a request. This is a rupture. This is a protest and a promise,” Free America says on its website.

Yup, this crap was being posted on our local Reddit (liberalland here, no blowback) last week.  Website and “flier” and all.

Protests planned across Oregon for Trump’s inauguration anniversary

Multiple walkout events are planned across the state Tuesday as part of a nationwide protest against the Trump administration.

Protests against President Donald Trump are set to take place across Oregon on Tuesday, marking one year since Trump returned to the White House.

The events are likely to be the largest coordinated national effort since the “No Kings” rallies in 2025.

The “Free America Walkout” is part of a nationwide protest aimed at mobilizing people to stand up against the administration and protect the country from what organizers say is an “escalating fascist threat.”

Multiple walkout events are planned across the state, including a rally at Couch Park at 2 p.m. in Northwest Portland.

All I know for sure is that if I protested, for any reason, and walked off the job...I should take my belongings with me. My employers would not have been happy and had someone else's fanny in my seat pronto. They are running a business, not catering to your political beliefs. And I agree.

Didn't notice any difference where I work or in yesterday's commute traffic. Prog boycotts and general strikes generally have little, no, or inverted results.
