'Exhausted' mom-of-four needed a break... so she called the police on herselfDaily MailBy LILLIAN GISSEN13 January 2026An 'exhausted' mother-of-four has revealed why she decided to call the police on herself during a moment of desperation.When Kylie Grimes, from Utah, called 911 in July, it wasn't to report a crime or a medical emergency.Her husband was working late so she was alone watching their four young children. She was 'completely drained' from sleeping less two hours in a row for weeks. It was close to 10pm , dinner hadn't been served yet and her infant son was eating a house plant. 'It felt like everything hit at once. I was completely drained after months of running on very little sleep,' she recalled during an exclusive chat with the Daily Mail.'My husband was working late and wasn't home. I was exhausted in every sense... physically, mentally, and emotionally.'Grimes explained that two of her children had recently been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, which added to the stress that already came with being a mother-of-four. 'My days and nights revolved around alarms, blood sugar checks, constant fear and responsibility that never paused,' she said.
