Police in Albuquerque, New Mexico, reportedly issued an arrest warrant for Timothy Busfield stemming from allegations that he sexually abused underage boys.
Police began investigating Busfield in November 2024 for alleged sexual abuse. The warrant was issued January 9 and they are actively searching for the actor with the hope that he surrenders to law enforcement officials, according to TMZ.
Busfield, best known for his roles in “The West Wing,” and “Thirtysomething,” was accused of pedophilia, under suspicion that he sexually abused underage male actors on the set of the television program, “The Cleaning Lady,” according to TMZ. The outlet reported that he is charged with child abuse and two counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor under the age of 13.
One of the alleged underage male victims claimed that he was 7 years old when Busfield touched his “private parts” on set after a scene had wrapped, according to TMZ. Prosecutors said the boy alleged Busfield touched him 5 or 6 times between takes. The boy also alleged he was inappropriately touched by the actor multiple times when he was 8 years old, according to TMZ.
