Previously-Deported Honduran Arrested for Killing Pedestrian With His Vehicle, Fleeing to Another State
An illegal alien from Honduras has been charged in connection with a fatal hit-and-run in Alabama last month, according to authorities.
The horrifying tragedy unfolded at around 7 p.m. on Dec. 21 in Troy, a city in Pike County.
Annie Laura Cooper, 59, was walking along U.S. 231 when she was struck by a vehicle, the Troy Messenger reports.
Troy police arrived and found Cooper unresponsive in the roadway. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
