the post-baptism bibles, the ones plucked from street corners from the meaty hands of zealots, the dumbed-down, easy-to-read, parasitic kind):
remember more the slick rubber smell of high gloss biology textbook pictures; they burned the hairs inside my nostrils,
& salt & ink that rubbed off on my palms.
under clippings of the moon at two forty five AM I study&repeat
               ribosome
               endoplasmic—
               lactic acid
               stamen
at the IHOP on the corner of powers and stetson hills—
i repeated & scribbled until it picked its way & stagnated somewhere i can’t point to anymore, maybe my gut—
maybe there in-between my pancreas & large intestine is the piddly brook of my soul.
it’s the ruler by which i reduce all things now; hard-edged & splintering from knowledge that used to sit, a cloth against fevered forehead.
can i let them both be? this fickle faith and this college science that heckles from the back of the classroom
               now i can’t believe—
               that the bible and qur’an and bhagavad gita are sliding long hairs behind my ear like mom used to & exhaling from their mouths “make room for wonder”—
all my understanding dribbles down the chin onto the chest & is summarized as:
life is merely
to ovum and sperm
and where those two meet
and how often and how well
and what dies there.

That brief second she backed up, then came at him before she turned. Almost seemed like she was being cute playing a little chicken to bait him into a response, then veer off to make him the aggressor, not understanding that response would leave her dead.

This is what happens when child like minds try to run with the big dogs. Her little handler should be charged with reckless endangerment.

I saw footage which clearly showed the left front tire of the SUV spin before gaining traction, still pointed at the officer (while the officer was in the way). She stomped the gas, which explains the post-shot runout of the SUV, accelerating until it collided with another vehicle.

Never mind, the whole f*cking country is going crazy because it takes itself too seriously on the internet, and before its over, more people are going to die.

I know none of this is a joke. A family member's partner (as in police, not sex) took the shot in MSP. He'd been dragged 300 ft. last June by some illegals in a car and got some time off and 30+ stitches for that trouble.

I'll be as ready as I need be for me and mine.

I am not a big fan of the police - mainly from personal experience.  Too many of them live up to the "polite bully" stereotype and are generally unpleasant. 

This lady should not have pressed the accelerator with a man standing in front of her vehicle.  Do that to an armed man and doesn't end well.  The police are trained to fire multiple rounds, and there is nothing scandalous about three shots.

The protestors are idiots and they need to go home.

Anti-ICE rioters stormed at least one hotel in downtown Minneapolis they believed was housing federal immigration agents on Friday night as unrest following the shooting of Renee Nicole Good continued for a third day.

Sporadic riots and mass demonstrations erupted hours after Good was killed on Wednesday afternoon. Good, 37, was shot and killed while attempting to run over a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent who was standing in front of the vehicle.

Multiple angles of the shooting — as well as a cellphone video filmed by the agent as he was standing directly in front of the car — have proven that Good accelerated forward and struck the agent before he opened fire. Prominent Democrats, including Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, have told citizens the complete opposite.

Over the prior two days and nights, sizable groups of protesters have gathered around the site of the shooting in South Minneapolis, as well as federal courthouses and immigration facilities. The demonstrations have turned violent on more than one occasion, prompting several arrests made by federal personnel.

As of Thursday night, rioters had set up roadblocks in order to create an “autonomous zone” similar to scenes observed in Seattle during the George Floyd riots in 2020. Unrest continued on Friday night, when anti-ICE demonstrators blocked city streets and marched towards the Renaissance Hotel after rumors spread that ICE officers were staying at the facility.

The scene quickly devolved into a riot when agitators dressed in all black smashed windows and proceeded to smash up the lobby. Others banged objects and even played instruments as part of their stated efforts to deprive agents of sleep.

MINNEAPOLIS – The Minneapolis Police Department was absent from the block where Wednesday’s ICE shooting unfolded, allowing agitators to seize control of the street and erect makeshift barricades that kept others out of the area.

According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the shooting happened during an ICE enforcement operation in south Minneapolis on Wednesday. DHS said agents were trying to make arrests when Renee Good allegedly used her vehicle as a weapon, which the agency said prompted a federal agent to fire shots in self-defense.

Following the shooting, agitators took control of the street where the shooting took place and used makeshift barricades with chairs, trash cans, wood shipping pallets, bicycles and more.

Fox News Digital went to the area surrounding the makeshift barricades and observed agitators directing traffic. No police officers were observed nearby.

Minneapolis police took down the makeshift barricades early Friday morning.

"F--- ICE" was spray-painted on one of the wooden shipping pallets. Another nearby sign said "ICE are terrorists."

During a news conference after the shooting, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said Good, a 37-year-old U.S. citizen, was "stalking and impeding agents" and was instructed to get out of her car just before the shooting, but did not comply.

The wife of Renee Good, Becca Good, has been revealed as an anti-ICE activist and a participant in the Minnesota ICE Watch movement. Renee Good was shot and killed on Wednesday when she rammed an ICE agent with her car in Minnesota. The organization had held an anti-ICE training seminar on January 5, just days before the shooting.

Screenshots obtained by journalist Julie Kelly showed that Becca Good was a follower of the page "MN ICE Watch," an organization that had held seminars just a few days beforehand on how to disrupt ICE agents.
 
"A few days before this incident, 'MN ICE Watch' held virtual seminars on how to disrupt ICE operations. Since Becca Good can be heard on video taking responsibility for what happened after the shooting, it’s safe to assume she directed Renee Good to impede traffic and instigate a confrontation so Becca Good could record and post on social media," Kelly wrote in a caption with the screenshots of the page with Becca Good following it.
