Then she shouldn’t have put herself in the position where that was a real risk. It’s too bad that she didn’t value her life more than the opportunity to virtue signal.
I agree. If you aren't a first responder or involved directly in the carrying out of a police operation, go around it. Leave them room to work. This was completely avoidable.
But politicians have postured, and the media have harped, and other politicians created the situation--all of this might not have happened if people had conducted themselves in accordance with our immigration law and stood behind the enforcement of that law, on so many levels.
Instead they have encouraged 'resistance', even declared 'war' and exhorted others to attack and resist the enforcement of our immigration law on the streets, creating an environment where those enforcing the law rightfully believe that threats to their lives could come from any quarter. Sooner or later, this was going to happen.
And now the deceased woman's 'wife' will howl long and loud and become a new poster child for the lawless left.
It is sad this happened, but I can't say I am surprised.
