Gov. Gavin Newsom is heading into a firestorm, set to come face to face with a group of  protesters who say he failed them, as the one-year anniversary of the deadly Pacific Palisades and Altadena fires arrives.

More than 1,000 people have already RSVP’d to attend next week’s “They let us burn!” demonstration — an event set to take aim at the failures of the Newsom government.

“THEY LET US BURN through gross negligence, mismanagement, poor preparedness, lack of infrastructure and protocol. THEY LET US BURN today with gaslighting, lack of transparency, accountability and vision,” reads a memo posted on Instagram from the group.

The protest promises to demand help and accountability from leaders like Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass, and will educate attendees on legal updates surrounding the rebuild. It is scheduled for January 7.

These delusional fools need to forget help from Newsom or Bass.  They have more important things to worry about than the lives of California residents.  They have endangered plants to take care of first and last.

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.
Where did the $100,000,000.00 allegedly raised through "Fire Aid" go? IIRC, no victims have seen a dime.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
