YES.
It DOES matter.
The Bible should be the only "book" upon which oaths of office are taken, at least in the United States of America.
What does the quran say about infidels?
What does THAT say about anyone who swear with allegiance upon it?
The Founders made an error in writing the Constitution (actually, one of numerous errors):
Religious "tests" SHOULD matter in who we choose to govern over us.
Because if we don't care about such things, we will leave a vacuum into which islam will rush.
As it's doing TODAY.
Any elected official who declines to take the oath of office on The Bible and instead does so upon the quran is sending you a message right up front that he's unwilling to believe or accept the foundational principles upon which our government and civilization is founded.
