The Legacy Media’s Long Knives Are Out for Nick Shirley
Tim O'Brien

You knew this would happen. An independent journalist scoops the legacy media, and they go after him. It’s happened before, and it will happen again. Nick Shirley has made CNNCBSABCNBCNYT and all of the other leftist media look bad, and now they will try to make sure he pays.

Our own Eric Florack captured the essence of what Shirley accomplished just a few days ago:

This is most likely the single biggest story ever covered by an independent journalist. In one video alone, Nick Shirley has exposed over $100 million in fraud. I suspect he's merely scratched the surface on the story.

Keep in mind, this is right in the backyard of the big paper in Minneapolis, the Minnesota Star Tribune, a paper with far more in the way of resources to lean on than Mr. Shirley could ever hope to field. They can’t be bothered. Or perhaps they're shielding us from something. As you can imagine (and I suspect some viewers can see) the video has had over 100 million views so far. You can imagine why. Nobody, including the Tribune, is covering the story well enough.

Eric is right. The legacy media couldn’t be bothered, that is, until Shirley’s discoveries spurred on more investigations in Minnesota and elsewhere, and a pattern has emerged. There is a ton of corruption in the Somali-American communities, and we’re paying for it, as PJ Media's Victoria Taft revealed:

Well, I am of the opinion that this is just one of many operations that have mercilessly looted the American Taxpayers' wallets. This one just got caught. A smokescreeen here gives the others time to shred the documents, bleachbit their hard drives, and move the money offshore (or wherever).

How else would a candidate who was championing the 'poor and disaffected' collect $1,200,000,000.00 to campaign with at the proverbial drop of a hat (no primary campaign, no primary, just thrown in).

At one time, all roads led to Rome.
Now the question is one of where do these money trails lead?

While I have such low regard for his “smarts”, Walz apparently had a strong campaign dowry.

Consider the outcry when USAID funds were cut back.

Here we go again, but this is only! a few billions, and for all the races (elections, that is) to be funded it's going to take a bigger pie if the levels of payoffs and house rakes are factored in.

Sure, that race might have only been an eighth (what was once the landowner royalty on drilling rights), but it's only one election, and there are so many to fund, media to keep flush despite failing viewership, newspapers and others who will want their slice of the pie, too.  It's an ecology, an industrial complex, fueled at the bottom by fraud, and in the open by the donations and subscriptions of its fellow travelers. Lando, I don't think this is the tip of the iceberg, it is the tip of the pinky toe toenail of a troll of Nordic proportions.

I can see the parallel in the complexity of my own industry (legit), from the surveyors and seismic crews to the boardrooms, and the inestimable number of moving parts along the way that all have to be oiled for it to function.

Only in this case, the 'industry' is fueled by grift, a mafia-like network of rackets including this particular fraud ring, all feeding to a central entity or entities which work in cooperation to feed off the labor and ingenuity of actually productive Americans from behind a curtain of political partisanship.

Looks like these Somali Day Care centers were MN DNC donation sites to fund Faggy Frey and Tampon Tim.
You don’t become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way to actually be cool.

Yes, private industry/enterprise must operate efficiently to prosper, never mind survive. That is a fundamental free market principle. Everyone agrees/believes this fraud is just a tip of the iceberg which begs the question:

Where would we be had this capital stayed in the private sector among the investment/efficiency minded free market?

The virtuous among us would suggest it could have bettered our healthcare or similar but that is a scurrilous endeavor also. I much prefer it had remained in the hands of those who earned or produced the capital.

There's just no beating the investigatory grit and determination of the newshounds at CNN.

All the criticism from NPR, CNN and CBS is focused on undermining Nick Shirley's credibility, but the fact remains that he is a journalist in the old-school tradition: He goes to where the story is (which is often dangerous); he asks questions; he records and he reports the answers.  ...
