Official source: USS Lincoln carrier strike group NOT yet in CENTCOM AOR, and has not crossed the line of demarcation from INDOPACOM to CENTCOM in the Indian Ocean.
This means that the USS Lincoln is NOT yet in the Gulf of Oman within striking distance of Iran.
It will be days, if not a week, before the aircraft carrier strike group will be on station, based on distances involved and speed of strike group from open source information.

I'm sure Israel (and many other countries) have radiation detectors that can easily detect something like this. A small weapon like that can't have much shielding and creates a beacon of radiation around it. Obviously possible, but significantly more unlikely it could make its way to Tel Aviv undetected.

It would also seem likely that if Iran had this capability, they would have already used it in the previous exchange of missiles/bombs not long ago.

No, it actually isn't that easy to make a workable nuke.  I have looked it up.  If it was, D.C. would already have been nuked by Hamas, or whatever other terror group got there first.

It is, however, very easy to make a dirty bomb.
