Iran is by no means a friendly nation to the USA.  Despite that Iran leads the list year in and year out of recipients from the Greencard Lottery, Iranians are not friends of the USA.

I do not see them going back to the shah or his descendents.  No way!

I have no doubt Saudi Arabia is involved, but they have to keep it on the down low to prevent blowback from the Arab League.

Iran’s nationwide unrest entered its thirteenth day Friday, as authorities imposed a sweeping internet blackout that largely cut the country off from the outside world and escalated threats of harsh punishment while anti-regime protests spread. Iran Human Rights (IHRNGO) reported that at least 51 protesters, including nine children, have been killed, with hundreds more injured.

At a press conference in Washington, D.C., on Friday, President Donald Trump said Iran was facing mounting pressure as unrest spreads across the country. "Iran’s in big trouble," Trump said. "It looks to me that the people are taking over certain cities that nobody thought were really possible just a few weeks ago. We’re watching the situation very carefully."

Trump warned that the United States would respond forcefully if the regime resorts to mass violence. "We’ll be hitting them very hard where it hurts. And that doesn’t mean boots on the ground, but it means hitting them very, very hard where it hurts."

That's the trouble when a company like YouTube decides to censor material.  You cannot know for sure what they may decide what falls outside of the "Terms of Service."  It's an arbitrary decision that can't be appealed.

A few of our members no longer post their material on YouTube, they've moved their stuff to Rumble.

Staff at hospitals in Iran said their facilities have become overwhelmed with injuries — including of people suffering from gunshot wounds — as anti-government protests are raging across the Islamic Republic, a report said.

A doctor from Tehran’s Farabi Hospital, which is the city’s main eye specialist center, told the BBC late Friday that the facility entered crisis mode, with emergency services slammed and non-urgent admissions suspended.

A medic from a hospital in the city of Shiraz also told the network that large numbers of injured people were being brought in despite the hospital not having enough surgeons to treat them. He added that many of those wounded had gunshot injuries to the head and eyes, according to the BBC.

As of Saturday, the death toll in the protests has grown to at least 72 people killed and over 2,300 others detained, according to the U.S.-based Human Rights Activists News Agency.

I'm still 'distracted' by the news of some energy weapon used by the US military during the arrest/extraction of Maduro.

And don't forget... it was 40-something years ago Pres. Reagan dropped a guided bomb down Gaddafi's chimney.

Scoop: Iran's security forces are using lethal force against protesters nationwide, informed sources told Iran International, with preliminary estimates pointing to mass casualties as a sweeping crackdown unfolds amid a near-total internet shutdown.

Footage sent to Iran International from Kahrizak, south of Tehran, shows several dead bodies in body bags. According to eyewitness accounts accompanying the videos, dozens of bodies are visible at the site, with additional bodies reportedly located in another nearby industrial shed.

Videos earlier sent to Iran International from Fardis, Karaj, and Alghadir Hospital in eastern Tehran showed similar scenes of dead bodies falling on the ground, pointing to an unfolding mass killing that is not confined to a limited number of cities.

The internet shutdown that started on January 8 have made it impossible to obtain a full picture of events on the ground. However, the volume and consistency of incoming accounts suggest that lethal force is being widely used to disperse protesters.

The most conservative estimates indicate that at least 2,000 people have been killed over the past 48 hours. A doctor in the northern city of Rasht told Iran International that one hospital alone received at least 70 bodies.

Sources describe particularly intense violence in areas including Fardis in Karaj, and parts of Tehran, while stressing that similar reports are emerging from many other locations across the country including Ilam and Kermanshah provinces in western Iran.

Despite the near-total internet blackout, videos and messages continue to reach Iran International through limited channels, including Starlink users. These users are largely based in major cities and more affluent areas, leaving large parts of the country with little visibility. Even so, journalists say they are receiving credible information indicating that mass protests are continuing nationwide.

Independent verification remains extremely difficult under current conditions.

Thanks for the continuing updates.  Much appreciated.

The troubling stories that I'm reading describe hospitals being overrun by emergency gunshot wounds to the head and chest...to young persons, 20 to 25 years old.

The morgues are full and now they're stacking bodies in piles.

How is it that with the world shrinking exponentially through technology, that this is not "BREAKING NEWS"?
