Politico Accidentally Reveals Many Democrats Consider ObamaCare a Flop

Remember how Democrats once hailed ObamaCare as a "big f---ing deal?"Nowadays, as inadvertently revealed by Politico, many Democrats have turned their backs on the 15-year-old program they have come to loathe (while urging continued funding for it) and instead increasingly demand its replacement with Medicare For All.

On Sunday, Politico reporters Lisa Kashinsky and Elena Schneider revealed the deep Democrat discontent with ObamaCare in "Democrats are united in bashing GOP on Obamacare. Medicare for All could reopen a rift."

The article began with how fervently many Democrats are in their desire to ditch ObamaCare in favor of the entirely government-financed Medicare For All:

I think it is safe to say that few perceive Obamacare as anything but an albatross.  Obamacare drove the cost of healthcare to the moon and back.  All the promises made by Obama were out right lies, and anyone that genuinely knew healthcare back then knew they were lies.

I have MANY FRIENDS without healhcare today because they cannot afford the premiums.  They are working and just do not have the money for it.  I also know people on Obamacare living in million+ dollar homes, driving new BMWs, wearing expensive clothes and jewelry.  The fraud is huge.

But I also know that Congress is the wrong group of people to establish a quality healthcare program.  They answer to too many lobbyists in Washington.

The concept of Blue Cross Blue Shield was brilliant in the 30s, quality healthcare with no profit being a component.  GREED is what stepped in and ruined it all.  I can remember my President at a Blues plan saying to a group of managment, "Anyone here that does not believe we are in the business to make a profit, raise your hand."  Had anyone raised their hand they would have been terminated on the spot.  The GREED of that executive, yes GREED, for he complained about making $450,000 salary in the early 90s when the president of a steel company across the street was getting $2.1 million per year, plus more perks than he got. 

Yes, BCBS was a noble idea, and it should be revisted, while a commission is put together and led by one component that is not included normally in such discussions, a group of people that have spent many years reducing the cost of healthcare, people like myself who could cut the cost by 60% while improving benefits/coverage to the people. 

The wrong people are dictating healthcare in the USA.  Stinking politicians, powerful provider groups including the AMA and pharma, and idiot academia, which has a huge say in healthcare.  I sat at a conference listening to doctors from Dartmouth, who were part of the Whose Who in healthcare spew their bullsh*t.  It is no mystery why healthcare costs are through the roof!

Does anyone believe Barrack Obama had the slightest clue about healthcare?  Hell no.  That man was lucky to put the correct shoe on each foot each day.  The American people pay through the nose every damn day because of corrupt idiotic politicians.

As a practical matter, yes, that was one of the goals, but the primary goal was as prelude to socialized medicine.
