Carl DeMaio accused California Governor Gavin Newsom of overseeing what he described as widespread and costly welfare fraud, arguing that the scale of the alleged misconduct far exceeds similar issues raised in other states and that national media outlets have largely failed to scrutinize the situation.


In a statement criticizing both state leadership and media coverage, DeMaio contrasted Newsom’s record with allegations previously directed at Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

DeMaio said the attention given to Minnesota has not been matched by scrutiny of California, despite what he described as significantly larger financial losses tied to welfare and unemployment programs.

That UEI has been massively defrauded in CA has been known for several years, but there was no way that AG Rob Bonta or the LIEden DOJ was going to investigate it. CA's social programs are ripe with need for investigation and (probably large scale) prosecution. Bonta won't do it and would fight it, of course, because Trump and because having his gross neglect exposed would be bad for his possible goobernatorial run.

Mass Governor still hasn't revealed how many billion$ were really spent on Biden's invaders.

Real ID will eventually fail because states' departments of motor vehicles cannot be trusted to not issue Real ID's for illegal aliens.

State's issue drivers' licenses to illegal aliens because "they need to drive to go to work".  They will issue Real ID's to illegal aliens because "they need to fly".

During the Dukakis years, the Mass RMV assigned fake SSN's to illegal aliens so they could get drivers' licenses.

GAO needs to audit states' distribution of Federal monies.

The federal government needs to force each of these States to pay that money back to the US taxpayer.  Minnesota first.  Where's our $11 billion?  Pay up.

... they will not get "fixed".

What's bad there this year, will only become worse next year.
It's baked into them. It's demographics.

A quick reminder that Gavin Newsom disappeared somewhere between 24 and 37 billion taxpayer dollars solving homelessness, all while increasing homelessness by 20% and claiming to be the national model for solving homelessness…
