A member of what's been dubbed "the worst gang in the world" has received a staggering prison sentence of more than 1,300 years, authorities have announced, following his conviction for a litany of offenses spanning murder, trafficking, extortion and kidnapping.
MS-13 gang member Marvin Abel Hernandez Palacios was slapped with a cumulative 1,335-year sentence on Thursday for "aggravated homicide, aggravated femicide, disappearance of persons, extortion, illicit trafficking and illicit groups", El Salvador prosecutors revealed in a statement.
Palacios wasn't alone in receiving an eye-watering prison term, as El Salvadorian authorities sentenced a staggering 248 MS-13 gang members on December 18. Terms handed down varied from 463 to 958 years behind bars, CBS News reported.
