Trump Never Sleeps—But the Media Keeps Dreaming › American Greatness
Roger Kimball

While the world salivates over the just-released images of Bill Clinton “frolicking” with various females at Jeffrey Epstein’s Bide-a-Wile island hideaway, the steady drumbeat of anti-Trump propaganda is picking up speed, intensity, and insanity. Last month, in an effort to “Bidenize” (thank you, Byron York), The New York Anti-Trump Times published a surreal, reality-free article under the headline “Shorter Days, Signs of Fatigue: Trump Faces Realities of Aging in Office.” This is about the human whirlwind that is Donald Trump, the indefatigable powerhouse who thinks nothing of traveling across the globe in the morning in order to broker peace in some far-off hellhole before returning in the wee hours to prepare for a Cabinet meeting that is open to the press.

Trump is constantly in the public eye. Never mind. According to the ideologues at the Times, “Americans see Mr. Trump less than they used to.” Really? Not a day goes by that Trump does not dominate the news cycle. He is as close to being ubiquitous as is humanly possible. But the Times, having shattered its barques upon the rocky shores of Trump’s stupendous accomplishments, has doubled down on fantasy and outright lies in its efforts to undermine the president.

Just a few months back, I wrote about a typical frenetic week in Trumpworld. “A week ago,” I noted in August,

I was writing about Donald Trump’s summit meeting with Vladimir Putin in Alaska to talk about ending Russia’s war with Ukraine. A few days before that, I wrote about the Trump administration’s announcement that it would conduct a thorough “internal review” of the Smithsonian Institution and its vast network of museums, research centers, and related activities. It turns out that when Trump ordered the elimination of DEI initiatives, he meant it. In recent years, the Smithsonian has gradually morphed from an institution for the “increase & diffusion of knowledge among men” into a woke repository of progressive, anti-American shibboleths. Among other things, the colonoscopy-like review will counter the pervasive assumption that the history of the United States is tantamount to a history of oppression.

And on and on it goes.
