The brutal attack on 75-year-old Jeanette Marken outside the King County Courthouse in downtown Seattle on December 20, 2025, is a stark reminder of how far law enforcement has fallen when it comes to protecting citizens. Marken lost an eye after career criminal Fale Vaigalepa Pea, 42, swung a wooden board with a protruding screw, striking her with both hands in a vicious, unprovoked assault. Body camera footage, captured by KOMO News, shows officers immediately recognizing Pea, with one asking, “Is that Fale Pea?” Another replies, “Yeah, you know him? He’s notorious for random assaults on Third.” As EMTs loaded the bleeding Marken onto a stretcher, an officer casually remarked, “He’s a regular. He usually punches. I guess today he decided to escalate from his usual.”


Yeah, he’ll be back on the streets next week. He hasn’t done enough damage to innocent people yet. They might lock him up once he kills someone, but even then I have my doubts. They’ll probably just say he’s retarded, he can’t stand trial, and send him back out there.

A 75-year-old woman lost her right eye after a homeless man with multiple arrests for assault allegedly hit her in the face with a stick in Seattle on Dec. 5, local media reported Friday.

Jeanette Marken was on her way to pick up a food order near the King County courthouse when Fale Vaigalepa Pea, 42, hit her in the head with the board that had a screw at the end, Seattle-based KOMO News reported. Bodycam video released Friday revealed Pea was “notorious” among Seattle police officers for assaulting people. (RELATED: Haitians Allegedly Bilked Taxpayers Out Of Millions In SNAP Scam)

“He’s a regular. He usually punches. I guess today he decided to escalate things way worse from his usual,” one Seattle Police Department officer told an emergency medical technician who was treating Marken and preparing to take her to an area hospital.

Fale Pea, the Seattle homeless violent career criminal with multiple assault convictions and who was repeatedly let out of jail without charges, appears to identify as transgender. His defense attorney refers to Pea as “miss” and used she/her pronouns.
