How many gay/trans folks have I met (in person)... Not a lot, but a few. Most everyone of them is hell-bent (in more ways than one) on pushing their political views on you. Like vegans, they make it personal but get upset when you dare to contradict them.
There is an 80s webpage (you can PM me if you want to know the address) from an gay ex-DJ that shares occasionally great Synth-pop/New Wave/Post-Punk/Disco/Europop music... He takes vinyl and does a "fab" (Lord help me for using his lingo) job of ripping and cleaning out all the hiss and pops/wow and flutter. I make it a habit to visit his site at least once a week to see what he drops. In the comments he says "no politics", but every "gay" artist he has a write-up about how great they are for what they are to the movement. He gets political and gets all bent out of shape when others actually "check" him (and deletes their message as "hateful"). Just like Wikipedia, the liberal comments are left up, but don't you dare reason that his positions are out-of-line/one-sided with real points.
All I am saying is with most gays/trans, it is all about forcing others to swallow their view or else.
